Transitioning from Summer Deck Building to Creating Durable Goods for Christmas

Composite Decks with Black Metal Railing

With October coming to an end and November beginning, much like the changing of the seasons, it’s a changing of the projects at Daletree. Much of our focus during the summer months was on deck construction and as the seasons are changing, deck season is winding down in anticipation for changing weather and woodworking projects.

Our 2022 deck season was full of exciting projects and amazing customers. This summer, we created outdoor living spaces for 22 families and refreshed projects for several others. We navigated supply chain shortages and labor constraints while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. We learned that a little bit of creativity combined with a little bit of grace allowed us to overcome obstacles this summer.

Over the fall and winter, we’ll be sharing highlights of individual projects on our blog. For now, enjoy a couple photos of a couple finished projects. 2022 customers, send us pictures of your newly lived in deck spaces to receive a custom Daletree tumbler.

In the coming weeks, you will find us showcasing our woodworking projects at shows across the area including:

  • Sioux Empire Arts & Crafts Show at the WH Lyons Fairgrounds – Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12

  • Autumn Festival at the Sioux Falls Convention Center – Friday, November 18 through Sunday, November 20

  • 605 Made Holiday Market at Cherapa Place (in the underground parking garage) – Saturday, December 3

We look forward to meeting you at these shows and to share our one of a kind woodworking gifts with you.
