There are so many products to choose from with composite deck boards. Our two main vendors are Trex and TimberTech. Both are excellent choices, but the nature of composite does make it retain heat during the summer months.
Additionally, on some of the lighter colors, some natural leaf stain can be evident for a few weeks or more until cleaned off or worn off by the elements. Each manufacturer comes with their own limited warranty, so be sure to pay attention to each vendors offering.

PVC Deck Boards
Longevity: 50+ years
Price: $$$+
Maintenance: $ (minimal)
Heat Resistance: A+
A deck board gaining more and more traction is one made out of PVC (often used for plumbing and drain pipes). These do an excellent job at diffusing heat, are more resistant against slipping when wet, and will take much longer to wear out. But, the price point is the highest of all the different options.
The two main manufacturer’s we use are TimberTech Advanced PVC by AZEK and Wolf Serenity Decking. Each are great quality boards and come with their own strengths, depending on the application.
