Building a Deck in Sioux Falls, SD with Cedar Tone Pressure Treated Wood and a Matching Hybrid Drink Railing

Old Cedar Deck measuring 9 feet deep by 16 feet wide

Early in the deck building season of 2022, we took on a project that replaces an old cedar deck. The old one was approximately 9 feed deep and 16 feet wide. Since the deck had basically the same footprint, we increased the depth from 9 feet to 12 feet deep.

Besides the change in square footage, the other major changes was changing the wood from a red cedar to a pressure treated wood with cedar tone colored deck boards. Additionally, we changed from using 2 inch by 2 inch spindles to 1 inch by 2 inch rectangular black metal spindles.

What made this project so much fun was the how amazing the customer was. He told us one of the main reasons he choose DaleTree as a deck builder was because of our customer service and professionalism. Honestly, this was a huge compliment as we work diligently to make this a reality.
